My shell finally came in (fiberglass) which was the last part I was waiting on. The rest of my pieces are resin cast, and I have been trolling around on the forums for a while looking for an assembly thread. However I don’t see any that include “how” to put this thing together.
What sorts of glues/epoxy do I need to use to get all of these pieces onto the fiberglass shell? I know I can go by the reference pics and numerous build threads for where to place parts, and how to line everything up, but the common thing that seems to be lacking is the materials involved in the actual assembly of one of these packs.
Can someone point me in the right direction so I can get started on my new weekend project ?
I mostly just used various screws I found around the house. I think towards the end I bought drywall screws that were about 3/4’'. My pack seems to be very sturdy, and I you’d really have to try to break anything on it.
My favorite all time glue is sold at the 99cent store. Its actually sold in packs of 3 I believe and is green and yellow. Here’s a link, it doesn’t run whatsoever, a problem I had with normal crazy glue, and has a very powerful bond. Some things I’ve glued I wanted to disassemble but couldn’t because of how good of a bond it has.
