ok so it’s a bit obscure but what it’d be fun to assemble one someday I think. Jake or Eddie’s. Any thoughts? As a fan, it’d be cool to make a ghostpack or the little camera things they had to kill some time one afternoon. Maybe even a dematerializer, if there are any serious FGB fans out there…probably FGB projects/props are few and far between, if any.
It would DEFINANTLY be an interesting idea. I’m not so much into them now, I was into it as a kid before I could tell the difference between Filmation’s Ghostbusters and Sony’s. However, I’d still love to see some of the different props. I hope someone pics up on the idea. Luckily their props do’nt seem to have nearly as much detail as the Ghostbusters Proton Packs.
I may try to get together a bunch of reference pics of various stuff. Though I don’t really have time now to work on anything. The new DVD set in Feb will likely be a great source for different shots of the dematerializer, other weapons and everything else…goes to dig out old FGB tapes
I wonder if a metallic paint would work well since a lot of the FGB weapons appeared to be all metal. For people who can’t make the whole thing out of metal…
I’m trying to work on getting a program to do screen caps again. I forget which one I used to use or if theres a good one that won’t expire. but got the DVD set! Awesome all around. Plenty of great shots of the uniforms and equipment and everything for someone who’d wanna tackle any of it. I’d love to make a FGB backpack. Or maybe the Dematerializer. The Ghost Gummer looks like a sweet prop. Some stuff looks like it could be assembled from found items and improvising. I’ll have to take a closer look soon. Maybe the devices around their necks would make interesting and cheap props as well…
I’ll try to post some clearer pics of the gear and maybe some master builders can lend some advice/thoughts.
not as of now. Got some really good pictures of the props I may post. Well as good as me taking pictures of the tv can be. They’re actually not too bad and show pretty much all the details(what little there are) of the prop. See if anyone else wants to give it a shot. When I get some more time to work, I may attempt to do Jake or Eddie’s(probably Eddie) neckgear in the cartoon that usually communicated with Fuddy(the wizard) or operate the jetpack in their backpack. Otherwise just looking at some ideas of what it might be good to make them the weapons out of! I was wondering for the Ghost Gummer if one of those big styrofoam balls and then some funnels, how well that would work. We’ll see what other found items might jump out at people as useable.
well aside from these not being good pictures(I need to find a good program for screencaps again) these show pretty much most if not all in some cases, the details of the three main weapons from the show..
