Just finished up with my Spirit Proton Pack mod, and I really love it. I love everything about it EXCEPT the dang conduit tubing that connects from the proton pack to the wand. Its rigid and not flexible and is a giant pain in the butt! What is the best tubing to get for this thing, that is nice and flexible? I also want to get some flexible tubing for the cable on my Plasma Series Ghost Trap as well.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
For the front tubing, just find any 1/4" red phone charging cable. Any cheap ones from a gas station or such will do just fine! Tracking down a cheap flexible alternative for the green tubing was tough, especially if you didn’t want to buy a giant spool, but I finally found one here:
(Canadian site but just search for Orbit Dripmaster 1-4 inch flex mist)
Perfect size, bit will need a little bit of trimming, with a great colour match to boot! Here’s mine! Spengler Wand but you get the gist. It also has a small bendy wire inside to help keep it in shape (took mine out but it still worked fine).
Appreciate the reply, but I’m talking about the conduit tubing that connects from the pack to the wand. The stuff that comes with the spirit pack is super rigid and not flexible at all.
Ah, my mistake. I’m unsure on the sizing for the Spirit, but 3/4" to 1" split or unsplit loom cable should work. Is the one you have stock from the pack, or was it part of whatever upgrade kit you got?
What I have is stock to the pack. I purchased some other conduit and it’s just as rigid though. I see a lot of videos on YouTube with people that have conduit that is super limp and flexible, almost like a wet noodle. I keep asking what they have but never get a reply.
When I upgraded to a full size wand I “split” the hose to more easily get the wiring in and it made it a TON more flexible. I agree it was definitely too stiff before.
If you split your conduit hose try also wrapping it around clear polyurethane tubing. It’s what I did on my ghost trap (Sean Charlesworth kit) and it also adds a nice flexible weight to it.
I was looking at the split loom at home depot and it felt just as stiff and rigid, but I will check out some others and see if I can find something better.
