Fully 3D printed Proton Pack

I see it as a unique marker for these packs.

Indeed, these will never be as good as a hand made pack. BUT, here in the UK if I were to buy a full cast pack kit, it would would cost me almost $750 at current exchange rates. The cost of plastic for a 3d print is about $90 a massive saving. It takes a long time to print, but whilst the 3D printer is working, I can do something else.

Also, as a modular design that screws together any damaged parts can be easily replaced.

A bit more time and effort with some filler would result in a nice smooth finish, it’s all down to the amount of effort and cash you wish to spend. More of either will get you a better product.

“It will never be as good…”

For you, maybe. If he is happy with it, then let him be happy with it. “It’s bad because I don’t like it” contributes nothing to him or the conversation.

The thing is, we both gave constructive feedback. If that’s being too negative, we might not be the problem.

what motherboard did you use, and how did you put all the electronics

I’ve been thinking of getting a M3D Micro and cranking out parts for my franchise.

Any idea if something with a roughly 4" x 4" print area would work for any of this?

Here’s the printer.

@LandoSystem. The larger parts rely on the standard RepRap bed size of 200mm x 200mm. So a 4" bed is not big enough.

Thanks! It might be good for some of the small parts but I don’t think it’s worth the investment.

Great work guys. Gotta see more 3D printed packs out there!
