GB The Video Game Light Kit Installation

Has anyone documented how to install and/or incorporate the video game light kit found on eBay into a pack? I found a few threads that show the VG light kits installed and working in sync with their pack sound kits (pretty impressively I might add) but nothing in detail regarding the hardware and installation. I currently use a GBFans Light and Sound Kit and have been eyeing this particular kit:

Does anyone know of a better kit? One that might be incorporated into the GBFans Kit? Anyway I can incorporate and sync it to the firing and overheat sequence?

Thanks!

I think a lot of them are designed and built by the owners, not bought from anywhere… I know the one that Charles Fincher has uses a Mighty Microcontroller integrated with some stuff they designed themselves…

Yea I figured as much. Unfortunately I’m not an electronics expert. I can solder and read electronic schematics somewhat but that’s about it. I can always hook one up to a switch and a 9v battery but I’m hoping someone has a better solution. Thanks P!

If you look at the instructions that you can download for the GBFans boards, they list what each pin of the ribbon cable is for… if you study that, you might be able to figure out a trigger and splice a new circuit into it so that they interact with each other…

Not a bad idea. I’ll look into them.
