Sunday, July 30th, two screenings have been announced, 6:00 pm and 6:30 pm, tickets are $18.
I wish there had more of a heads up on this screening. I would gladly fly out to NYC for this.
So cool! The Batman Forever Schumacher edit screened a few weeks ago. I’m loving this trend!
My fingers are still crossed for a GB2 preview cut to surface.
I can already see they’re going to make me rebuy Ghostbusters. Hopefully it’s going to be the last time… Until 8k

It’s so cool we have the GB1 preview cut, though. The prior physical release gave us the GB2 commercial, so I’m hoping they blow my mind again on the next box set.

1 showing in London on August 20th at 5:00 PM GMT, tickets will go on sale to PCC members tomorrow, August 2nd, at 1 PM GMT through Prince Charles Cinema. If any tickets remain, they’ll be available to the general public on August 4th at 1 PM GMT.
I consider myself a pretty big GB fan. But I can’t help but think, If u are going to do this for any movie do it with GB2 or Afterlife. Right? That’s something fans have never seen. That’s something I’d toss my grandma down the stairs to get tickets for*.
But this? I’m not so sure if it’s “Grandma Toss Worthy”. It’s VHS quality with little to no FX with some alternate takes & deleted scenes that were cut for a good reason. That have already been released as a special feature.
I get ppl wanting to see this as a curiosity. But the quality is from a VHS tape over 40 years old that most of the deleted scenes released since 1999 have been sourced from.
it’d be so much cooler & GTW** must see if this was something no 1 in the public had ever seen. But this is the same cut that was on the limited edition Steel book or 3 film “Ghost Trap” box set, right?
Kevin Smith held a screening of the so called “Schumacher Cut” of Batman Forever pretty recently. I wonder if these GB preview cut screenings are a response to that. I remember hearing Smith & Reitman are friends (or friendly). & I can’t help but think this could’ve been something tremendously special if it were from the 2 sequels.
Maybe they’ll do those next? That’d be SUPER cool.

**GTW=Grandma Toss Worthy. A unit of measurement I just invented used to indicate the anticipation of any given thing. If one is willing to toss their grandma down a flight of stairs to attain a thing, that thing is “GTW”.
That’s exactly what the Smith /Schumacher Cut screening was, and exactly what a GB2 workprint screening would be.
It’s so much more than deleted scenes. Seeing a mid-process workprint is wild! I think it’s awesome that screenings are not only happening, but selling out.
I would love to see them show it at the location of the first test screening of this print-- Screening Room 12 at WB Burbank.
So is this the Preview Cut that was on the Ultimate Edition, or a completely different version?
Yep, the version that was on the recent BluRay release.
