Are you going to add the EDA ■■■■■■■, Clippard plate and Vacuum tube plates before you mold it?

We’ll do the final sanding on it tonight. It will be beautiful. I’m machining the EDA ■■■■■■■, Clippard plate and other disc thing above it before it’s molded.

What’s the vacuum tube plate? The shim thing?

It’s the “other disc thing above it” :wink:

We sanded everything again, added a few parts, then sprayed the final coat of polyester primer on the pack.

We’ll doublecheck it on Monday and mold it on Tuesday.

Might just be my tired eyes but the powercell window looks a little off center. Everything else looks amazing though.

Ditto this. I’m also not a fan of the crank gen but better pictures (head on, well framed shots) would help show off your work better than low-angled 3/4 shots.

If you’d like specific camera angles, please let me know. I’m not sure what your concerns are. If you see something that might be wrong but are unsure because you do not have a clean view, all you have to do is ask.

As for this pack, the design stage is over and we are moving on to molding. There will be no more changes made to this pack at this time.

As far as the power cell window, We placed it based on the OMNI magazine proton pack position. It also is off center.

The powercell window does seem a bit too wide.

I think what’s hitting me is your edges are too machine perfect. The movie pack’s parts all have subtle differences in positioning and sanding. For example, the lower 6 “ribs” on your crank gen are symetrical with exact spaces between them but the movie packs are all uneven in their spacing and depth. Similarly the angled edges on the left side of the vaccume pump are precise angles instead of simple corners sanded round.

Really it’s just illustrating the difference between an idealized pack and an exact replica.
