Well, I took a break from it. Other things got in the way…such is life. I’m determined to finish it for Halloween and I’ve got no excuse! Really close to finishing now..Here’s the current state…Excuse the mess!

Nice! One quick tip, shorten the green thrower tube, it should be about half that length.

I didn’t have the tools/space to scratch build from wood and I’d all but given up on the idea of building a pack until I came across your thread. Thanks very much. As for the spacer, the one I’m using is the second one I built. I messed up some angles on the first and had to rebuild…No bondo on mine though
nickatron: Thanks for the tip! tube is now half the size and looks much better. The parts you supplied were also brilliant. no complaints! (A****** SELLER, WOULD DEAL WITH AGAIN!!!111 etc. )
I’ve got some ideas on how to mount it all to the motherboard. I won’t mount it as one whole piece but take advantage of the “modular” nature of it. More pics on page two (so people don’t get annoyed scrolling through tons of pictures on one page)
I am enjoying the heck out of this build so far. I am amazed at what people can do with foamcore or paper… amazing.

Well, text update rather than pictures for now (the worst kind of update! haha)
Pack is 99.9% done now. ALICE frame is sprayed. Mobo is attached to ALICE. Decals have all been applied and a scratchbuilt styrene bumper has been completed! (I didn’t really have the money or inclination to buy a resin bumper and plus it wasn’t guaranteed to get here before Halloween, so scratchbuilt it was!)
I have to admit, I’ve been losing my patience with the pack recently. Trying to get it finished seems to have taken forever and it’s turned into a bit of a chore. Can’t see me making any other props in the future…well, maybe a trap…and a hoverboard…maybe! 
But…I’ve learned a TON of stuff about tools and materials and how to use them correctly and incorrectly.
The next pictures you see will be before halloween and will be of the completed pack. I’ve even resisted the urge to wear it until it’s complete…Wish me luck!
Well, I finally did it…Minus the thrower switches and the N-Filter, everything else is done. Couple of mistakes on there (see if you can spot them! ) Excuse the crappy cell phone pic. I’ll get some decent pictures up if people are interested in seeing them.

By “dyed” I got a bucket. Filled it with boiling water, put about 1 tablespoon of regular cheap black acrylic paint in there. dropped in the belt/pad, swished it around for 30 seconds then removed and let dry. Didn’t expect that to work to be honest!
Aww come on guys. I know it’s not strapped to a cute toddler or forced upon a lovable reptile or canine, but a lot of blood, sweat and tears went into this! Anyone…Anyone?..Bueller?..
That is absolutely beautiful work. I couldn’t tell it was foamcore until I looked back through the thread and saw the in-progress pictures.
Nice work man! What are you gonna do about the n-filter? Even without it that’s really clean looking for a scratch build.

Not quite sure what to do about the N-Filter. To be honest, I quite like the look of it without the N-Filter but at the same time whenever I look at the pack the lack of N-Filter SCREAMS at me. Might wait til after halloween and start looking at getting a Resin N-filter from someone…We’ll see…
What glue did you use to bond the foam core?
I used UHU “Por” to glue the foamcore. Its really good.
