ok i have all the gear ready to go, lookin good, everything fits right…hold on-- to save money, I bought the ■■■■■-tastic flight suit that comes with that inflatable proton pack.( got it on clearance, great deal).man- it is yellow as hell! I look like a damn cartoon character. it’s poly/cotton. can i dye it, or what? help a brotha out.
With it being poly/cotton, it might not take the dye very well. You can get pretty cheap flightsuits that look a WHOLE lot better than that. You could always try dying it, and if that doesn’t work, pick up a better suit?

I picked one up and mine isnt cartoon yellow. i’m not saying its the same color as the ones in the movie but it is definitely tan, not yellow.
Maybe you got a bad one. Can you exchange it?
mine i got last year. i was looking at the new ones the other day and the new color is way better… i’m going to mask off the stuck on patches to prevent them from staining, and use rit pearl gray. wish me luck.
holy cow–success! tonight, i threw caution to the wind and just threw the suit in a pot of hot water and grey powder dye..figuring, well, if it messes up, who cares…and lo and behold it came out perfect…a medium to dark khaki. didn’t add anything…just water and dye…looks great and it’s poly cotton nice and even. didn’t even stain the ghost patches printed on the suit…you may all now congratulate me.
