I am making a ghost trap out of wood and I want to know a few things.
Do you spray paint them FLAT black? Also I was thinking about the battery compartment. Should I paint that semi-gloss black?
I think flat black would look a little too dull and I don’t see the need to paint the battery compartment a different finish. I used semi-flat black on my pack and if I ever finish my trap I’ll use it on it as well. It gives it kind of a dull sheen, much like painted metal.
Flat back paint can disguise irregularities in the surface texture. Wood grain, glue stains, scratches, dents, bumps, etc are examples of these. If you are confident that the trap will be smooth and clean, use gloss or semi-gloss paint.
