I put on my uniform. and went and started signing autographs at a haunted house. Then went out to dinner. and I didn’t have to pay anything they comped the whole thing for me.
I actually did it on sept 11, last year and visited the guys at hook and latter 8 they loved it. and gave me some of the GB comics from 88mph, then got stopped by the nypd and chicago fd and they wanted to buy us a round for coming down and cheering them up. I actually geared up in my Stargate SG-1 uniform.
See, there WAS one person on this board who wasn’t a GB for Halloween. 
The worst part about costuming is that there’s only one socially acceptable time of year when you can wear your stuff, and if you have more than one uniform, decision making time sucks. 
I also have the uniform/armor of a Colonial Marine from Aliens, and a Musketeer uniform as well. And now, working on a GB uniform. Thank god I’m not a member of the 501st or I’d be really hosed.

Anyway, in Italy there’s any Haloween, but we’ve carnaval. It’s quite the time now for it! It’s not a precise day, but it’s all the month o’february! Asd! You can walk around dressed as a Ghosthead for an entire month! Yhupee! 
When I was just a small kid, one year I was a ghostbuster for halloween, and another year, you’ll never guess who I was from ghostbusters… SLIMER! Made a home-made costume and everything where I looked out his mouth, god what of it I remember, it was fun!
For the last three years me and my friends have been bustin and next year were doing all again bigger and better until we die or people get bored.

I was a soldier for Halloween!..sobs: boohoohooo. I spent my Halloween in Tikrit, Iraq.
Next year, however, provided my pack, trap, and goggles have been received from Rhett (hotshot) I should be one ghostbustin’ son of a gun. Tell me…besides the obvious (personal Halloween party, going to a haunted house in your gear, going out to eat, go to a bar and get complimented by half the people you see and laughed at by the other half, etc) what are some of the best ways to utilize your costume and get the best opportunities to show it off? When I go on leave I’m gonna have the best halloween of my life btchs!

Costumes contests are the ultimate way to show your gear to the most amount of people.
Um…you’re kidding, right? If not-read my post again. It’s the Army’s new ACU (Army Combat Uniform) patern. I AM an American soldier. I didn’t get to actually do anything but read a book and write in my journal on Halloween as I’m currently in Tikrit, Iraq. But!..next halloween I should be on my way out the door as far as the Army’s concerned. Off to college I go. Hopefully I’ll find a much more entertaining way to spend my halloween next year or the year after.
I’m always a ghostbuster…no matter what it’s ALWAYS a hit…and chicks dig it.
Well, from this year forth, I too shall be a ghostbuster. I’m planning on investing quite a bit of money, and so, with the amount I will spend, I shall be a ghostbuster until I’m dead, lol.
i agree with ecto96, im gonna go as a buster as long as i can after spending so much on it.
