Where: Alabama Theatre, Birmingham
The screening of “Ghostbusters” in 2010 at the beautiful Alabama Theatre was a huge success! More than 20 'Busters and a crowd of more than 500 witnessed the classic movie on the big screen again.
We’re taking it to a new level this summer as the Alabama Ghostbusters presents “Ghostbusters 2!” Rally the troops! Bring your friends and family! Let’s win one for Oscar!

As many of you know, Alabama was hit terribly hard by tornadoes recently, as were other states. This isn’t to take away from them, but since we’re based in Alabama, we’re concentrating here. Many of our members were affected, but thankfully they are all OK.
That being said, we’re holding a tornado relief auction at this showing with all proceeds going to local relief agencies. We’ve already begun, which you can see our efforts at http://relief.alabamagb.com.
We’ve been coordinating with some members here on GBFans, as well as other franchises, for donated gifts for the auction. They have already come through with some awesome and unique items. We’re keeping the items very basic as to appeal to the casual GB fans, meaning no pack parts or random references.
If you can, and are willing to donate something, please shoot me a PM. We’ll post all the items and more auction information as we receive them.

If you haven’t been in contact with the Tennessee Ghostbusters already, I’m here to forward our interest in attending this year’s event in B-ham. We have consolidated the other regions of the state together and so far have been able to pull together about 10 people, plus some from Central Kentucky as well. I’ll keep you guys updated as things progress.
We’re expecting 40-50 busters from Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, South Carolina and Mississippi! If you’re in the area this Saturday, come on out at 6 p.m. CDT! We’ll have all of our Tornado Relief Auction items on hand, and it wraps up that night, too!
We’re all gathering for dinner at the Tilted Kilt after the movie!

I’ve had an awesome time at both places, and so glad to see folks from ALL OVER THE SOUTH (Louisiana, Mississippi (sp?), Tennessee, Kentucky, South Carolina, Georgia, and of course Alabama.
It was the biggest gathering of GB’s (besides Dragon*Con), and so many new friends I’ve met, and old ones seen again… such a delight to be part of this group. My ECTO GOOGLES were the HIGHEST BIDDING item of the group of items being on auction that day, going for $212.50, and so happy with the outcome.
