I have had bad vinyl on my car in the past, so I can tell you those are NOT good…
Looking from left to right on the website
-
GB logo: Missing chin
-
GB logo: Missing chin and area behind the ghost is white instead of black
-
GBII logo: Black missing from inside No logo and inside mouth
-
GB Text logo: No ghost is missing chin and black inside logo, and something about the font seems off
-
Angry retarded Stay Puft: The drawing just doesn’t make sense and it looks like he’s wearing a business man tie and a shirt collar instead of his sailor top and tie
-
Angry retarded Stay Puft outline: See above, also needless seam line is needless
-
Slimer Outline: This is an old drawing of slimer and probably my least favorite but its a decent cut of it.
8 ) Slimer: See above.
So if you enjoy purchasing sub par and incorrect vinyl at a slightly inflated retail price, this is your guy!
I think the imperfections (lack of chin etc…) is what they use to go around licensing issues, considering these are mass produced for resale profit…they get a C&D notice they reply “hey this is not your logo because …” And it works ..As an artist I know copyrights…image copyrights especially are the easiest to go around …Either way your best bet is to go to a vinyl pro with the proper logo and have them repop it for you …chins and all ..after all if your going to infringe ,might as well do it right
I both agree and disagree Skully. That point on its own makes sense but when I first started my Ecto, the shop that did the vinyl used the exact file as the first chinless one. Not because of copyright, they didn’t care about that…they used it because it was the most used, quickest and easiest to find.I actually asked later and the guy said that when he searched for the logo in whatever format they use, that was the first to come up, and that’s why he used it. The same is probably true with all of these.
But I TOTALLY agree with if you’re gonna infringe, infringe right!
No matter where you are you probably have a local vinyl shop that can do a better job at a better price!
Yeah, Sony can send a C&D with those logos displayed on that website. I really doubt that’s their motive, especially given the Stay-Puft image.
Looks like they google image searched and hijacked those images.
Come on, fella.
sorry guys i didnt even notice the differences. such a noob mistake, good thing the gb1 logo got stolen last night off the window when i was donating plasma. so i took the gb2 off as well.
