i checked a couple more dates, you could put in. but its doesnt say the actual day or month just the year,
like the ghost train, egon says it derailed in 1922, but thats it.
i couldnt find the mass sponge migration date… help us out.
in the GB1 montage, wen the mags and papers appear, i tried to zoom in on the date of the papers, but i couldnt make it out, any1 else wanna try

Help enchanted unicorn decide what to draw----
I was originally planning on a picture of Ray being lowered down into the river of slime, viewed from an extreme lower angle with neat slime lighting effects from the slime below. Then my wife suggested a portrait of Zuul. Portraits are my thing. I was considering maybe finding a different picture of Sigourney Weaver and “Zuuling” it up because there are only a few pics of her as Zuul out there, and I would like to do something a bit different. Btw, I’d crop the pic above the bust line so no one out there would blow an O ring! So which idea sounds more interesting to you? Most entries will be of the boys, perhaps Zuul would be different, What do you think guys?
:shock: Whoa, weirdly enough, one of the first ideas that popped into my head was a low angle shot of ray being lowered into the tunnel with a scared crapless look on his face and tentacles of slime reaching up for him.
I spent last night thinking up what I wanted to do as well. I kind of was leaning toward a couple of things though.
One is the scene in “the boogieman cometh” where ray pretends to be a little kid in bed and the boogieman comes out to scare him, then he jumps up with his pack and the others pop out too. It’d be boogieman’s p.o.v., so all you’d see is the 4 guys, but a very definite boogieman shaped shadow falling over them as he is backlit from the light of the closet. Then again, maybe that would look cooler from other angles…
The other is one I actually have almost halfway done because it’s a pet project of mine I have already been working on for a bit. In the foreground, you have the Ecto-1 very small facing us, speeding out of the gates of a graveyard, like the one seen in some of the shots of the video game. 2 of the guys are hanging out the window with their throwers at the ready. There are some trees in the grave yard and above the trees you see what the ghostbusters are trying to get away from: the whole top half of the piece is a ton of ghosts, kind of like the opening of the cartoon. Just a swarm of ghosts, with stay-puft, slimer, etc.
I’ve got a few more ideas too. I was also thinking about possibly one that has the XGBs in it as well, maybe alongside the original ghostbusters.
I have art classes all day long, so I’ll sketch a bunch of ideas and try to get them posted and you guys can tell me what you think.

Try to do as a PSD file with dimensions of 11" x 8.5" at 300dpi. Or a file with dimensions roughly 2000 x 1600 (but the dpi will end up being lower).
This is the only month that will probably not use fan generated artwork, or pictures unfortunately.
Where are these Birthdates from?
would it be possible to get a solid due date on entries? The portrait shouldn’t be a problem, but I want to do something really original for the background, still brainstorming on that.

Hey AJ, what about one months picture being a collage of the various newspaper/magazine covers used in GB1 (such as the TIME, new york post etc). or maybe just one large picture such as the Atlantic cover?
I have the movie in HD if you want HD grabs from it for anything…

Piece of cake. I’m starting today. I Didn’t find any pics to my liking so I popped in the dvd and took pics with the camera. First time doing that. The pic will be mostly a head shot, with Zuul in front of one of the terror dog statues. Although it occurred to me that Dana didn’t become Zuul until after the statues crumbled to reveal the demon within. So although the timeline might be innaccurate, I’m sure I can use my art degree to bs my way out of it. Ever notice how artists can explain away any problems in their art? lol
