Can someone provide me a game save file for Ghostbusters The Video Game?? (PC version) I can’t defeat the Staypuft Marshmallow Man!! I have the pirated version, so I know that’s causing the problem, but I really wanna get through that level!! I’d appreciate it very much!! Thanks!

Wow - what a request! You come to a board that revolves mainly around fandom of “Ghostbusters” asking for help with an admittedly pirated copy of the video game.

We support the property and have legally and rightfully paid for the game, thus giving support to the makers, in hopes of future DLC or another game (even if those are a long shot).

You get what you pay for. You stole the game. You have no right to ask for if to work properly.

Even if you consider your copy just a “demo” - you shouldn’t get the whole game, and if you really like it, you’ll go buy it. ALSO - many of us paid upwards of 60.00 for the game when it was first released. You can now get a NEW copy of the game for 20.00. You can probably get a used copy for even cheaper than that.
I’m sorry - but I don’t think you are going to find much sympathy for your position.
Plus, if you can’t beat Staypuft, the game gets a lot harder after that. Also a quick check at retailers like Target or Walmart could score you a legit copy fairly inexpensively. I recently saw a PC copy on clearance at Target for 10 bucks. Seriously man, asking fans of this board to just give you their hard earned save file because you couldn’t bring yourself to buy the game is stupid and wrong.
And people wonder why PC versions and PC gaming in general is on the decline. :sigh:
You cant beat Stay-Puft? The easiest box in the game? Maybe you should look into easier games.
Regarding not beating Stay-puft, didn’t Skanker mention that one of the anti-piracy traps in the game was that the marshmallow menions were basically industructible? I wonder if that is how the OP is not able to get past it - Stay-Puft throws the menions, and he can’t kill them before they climb the building and knock him out.

Okay, first of all…I won’t start cursing, however I am quite angry…you guys don’t know why I have the pirated version. Normally I always buy the original game or dvd whatever. I mean it. ALWAYS. Yeah, Ghostbusters was an exception. But let me explain why and try to understand my reasons.

I don’t have any money. I’m not 18, so I don’t even have a credit card…my parents would never pay for something like the game.

I don’t live in America (unfortunately). I live in a country where you can’t buy anything. Here only the PS3 version is available and I can’t even ask stores to order the PC version (for example), because they don’t give a shit. Oh, and my family is not rich, if I want to buy dvds or games I have to pay for it.

My computer is very very slow. The system requirements are not even close to the minimum. But I really wanted to paly the game and downloading it was the only solution. It’s still a miracle that I could get the game running. Most people are crying for having a 3.2 Ghz processor…well, guess what? I have a 1.6 Ghz processor.
One more thing…just wanna prove that I’m serious. I’m gonna work all summer in order to buy an XBox360 and Ghostbusters is gonna be my first Xbox game!! Original version!! I want to support the developers of the game. But you guys are acting like you’ve never downloaded any pirated stuff from the net.

the funniest part about this whole thread, those that are giving this guy a hard time has some gripe, bitch or moan about the game, and expect there to be another one after all their belly aching.
I can say I have never downloaded any pirated stuff from the internet… I am against any form of piracy.

That’s why you wait and save up. There isn’t any social stigma with not getting the game on the day of release, and it’s an expensive medium… as well as a really bad financial world these past few years. Saving up would allow for you to eventually own it through legitimate means.
I’m not sure how your country comes into things, especially when you don’t mention which country it is.
We all wanted to play the game, but we didn’t resort to stealing it.
Then you should’ve bought the game to begin with.
