Ghostbusters Hardcover Book "Total Containment"

IDW has released a new hardcover book which combines the first four comic stories into one single supersized book.

*They said nothing could hold all 16 issues of IDW’s Ghostbusters series-but they didn’t count on TOTAL CONTAINMENT!

With psychokinetic energy on the rise in New York City and across the country, and new enemies-human and otherwise-threatening their billable hours, Peter, Egon, Ray, and Winston have to prove once again why the Ghostbusters are the real professionals.

Collects Volumes 1-4: The Man From The Mirror, The Most Magical Place On Earth, Haunted America, and Who Ya Gonna Call? *

This book features and amazing embossed containment unit on the front and is slightly larger than your average comic book, which makes the stories easier to read. The Total Containment book is available now from the Ghostbusters Fans Shop here:

I know this book is a little expensive, but seriously. I don’t think anyone that buys this will be disappointed with the quality. The hardcover is amazing. I tried to take a few pictures to show the cool embossing on the front of the containment unit, but it didn’t come through in the photos very well.

If you like the GB comic series, this should be a must have collectors item. This is something you can easily go to, and read through all the issues without worrying about it getting beat up from handling.

Do want!

Is there going to be a button to add it to cart? Its in stock but you won’t let me buy it… :frowning:

I’m excited mine should be here tomorrow! Hope we get total containment 2 for the other volumes as well

Been waiting for this, saw that it came out and got excited. Saw the price and hesitated. AJ, your words tempt me once more and I think I will pick this up soon. Thank you for talking quality here. I love the comic series and this seems like a must have.

I’d be curious to know what more think when they get it. I’ve been getting the graphic novels when they come out, and would hate to double up on something. I like the idea of a hardcover though to keep it more pristine when handling it.

Ive got the trades but damn this looks awesome!

Whoops. That explains why no one has been buying it!

Aha! I solved it. I should get one for free!

AJ, do you offer a cheaper shipping option to Europe? I was going to place an order but it was going to charge more than the book itself, which is a bit steep to me.

Alex

We always offer the cheapest option.

However, on a 5lb hardcover book, there is no way to ship the item for cheaper. It has to go Priority Mail International.

5lbs?! No wonder my shipping was high too. Oh well. I needs it!!

It’s basically like a college textbook.

I picked this up recently, and it really is a gorgeous collectors piece. AJ is right that photos don’t do any justice to the beautiful embossing the entire way round of this book. It has a wonderfully touching forward by Ernie Hudson and compiles all of the conceptual art work from the comics along with the shorts and the main comic stories as well. I keep the I dividual issues stores for collect ability, the TPB for reading, but this will look amazing on display or on a coffee table. I love it!

Got mine from the local comic shop today and it is indeed a very nice collection. It’s oversized too, quite a bit bigger than the trades so the art looks great.

Looks good in the collection!

I just got mine in the mail, and it is awesome. Maybe it’s because I’m feeling a little over sentimental at the moment, but I got a little misty reading Ernie’s forward, and just the first couple pages of a comic I’ve already read has me grinning like an idiot. This book is fantastic.

Just got mine in today and it looks awesome!!

I’m a little sad though, it must have been thrown around hard in shipping. AJ packages things very well so to have my bottom corner crunched in on the book, they must have dropped it hard. :frowning:

I’m just OCD I suppose. You should see my DVD collection. You don’t want to see what I did to the last guy who left a DVD out of the case…
