Today I fired up the game for the first time in months. As soon as I put the disc in I get a message saying that there is an update available for the game, so I select to proceed with the update. When my game loads I notice that the awful gold proton pack is equipped. I go into my options to turn it off and that option is now gone. Anyone know how I can get rid of the gold pack?
What platform are you playing on?

Well I’m not sure if it’s the same but on PS3 I’m pretty sure you go to “Downloads” from the main title screen. It’s not actually in the options menu it’s in it’s own menu.
Unfortunately on my console there is just nothing. Not sure why, because it was definitely there before.
I kinda like the gold pack. The normal pack looks a bit too scratched up IMO.
Clear your system chache. Load the game without updating and check your game settings for the option. Restart, reinstall the updates and check again.
Thanks for the suggestion Dan. I tried it, but I still don’t have an option to turn the pack off. Guess I’ll just suffer looking at it.
Looking through my memory I do see where the grey flight suit was downloaded, but the DLC for the pack is not there. Yet, it still appears on my character. Weird…
Well the gold Proton Pack, GBII Flightsuit, Mayor and Ghoul downloads aren’t actually downloaded to your system or game. They’re already there, the download code just gives your console the unlock information so that the game can access the information already on the disc. This is why people without the DLC can still see it in Multiplayer. It sounds like something really fucking up your games information.
I wish I had something better to tell you, you don’t have the game installed to your Hard Drive or anything, do you?
