Are these gold proton pack vouchers with the xbox 360 game rare or somthing. I got mine with my game,but looking on ebay there paying 20-30 for those codes. Whats the deal?
The deal is that the some stores have exclusive content for the ghostbusters game. Walmart has codes for the gold proton pack. Gamestop have codes for the GB2 outfit (but that’s if you pre-order the game from them). And finally Best Buy has the codes to play as the mayor or the ghoul. These are the only stores i know that have extra content.
I personally have the Best Buy outfits and its funny to choose the ghoul and have everyone in the room switch thru all the characters to find it lol.

It’s not rare, but you have to purchase the game from Walmart to get that particular add-on. For whatever reasons some people chose not to (or were unable to) get their game from walmart thus missing out on the gold proton pack. Then you have the ones who actually did get it but do not want it and they… like many others… try to make a quick buck off people who, for whatever reason(s), didn’t get their copy of the game from walmart. (or they’re just greedy and they want all the add-ons without having to buy the game from each retailer.)
I personally have all 3 of the main order incentives. I have the GB2 suit from gamestop & the gold proton pack on my PSN account & I have the best buy characters on my XBox live account. Several people in my family got copies of the game and most of them didn’t care for their codes so I gladly took them off their hands.
They are by no means “rare” but on every box that includes the incentive it states “While supplies last” so they are limited in their run and may become rare at some point in time.
My question is how do you turn the gold proton pack option OFF? It was a nice novelty for about three seconds, then I decided it looks like utter crap. I tried going through all the menu options but I can’t find it.
Go to options in the games main menu,look for GOLD PROTON PACK it’s in very smalling letters like everything else,highlight it and hit a button and it’s off!
Yeah. It’s suppose to be under EXTRAs, I think. But it’s not there. The ONLY thing I can think of that might have gone wrong is that the original Xbox I started the game on went RROD, and I have the same harddrive on a different Xbox now. I don’t understand how this would change anything since the game saves are all fine and otherwise the xbos acts no differently than the old one.
Have you tried to login in to live and turning it off that way?
If you switched systems but have the same hard drive you may have to “download” it again to reactivate it. I had a similar issue with some DLC i downloaded a while back for Test Drive Unlimited. I downloaded some new cars for the game, and my xbox went RROD on me. I got a replacement system and i put my hard drive on it only to find my DLC was missing. I wound up going back to the marketplace to download the cars again and it worked perfectly after. (if you’ve already downloaded something in the past it will show a check mark next to items and you can re-download them as many times as you’d like at no cost so long as that content is not a movie rental or something that expires after a period of time.)I’m not sure, but i think the downloads are somehow associated with the system so if the systems change that content needs to be downloaded again. (Technically it’s not downloading it again since it’s already on your hard drive. I think it just triggers something on the new system to re-activate that content.)
If you’ve still got the code I would suggest trying to enter it again. Since you’ve already downloaded it with that account it “should” reactivate the DLC to use. Hopefully it won’t just pop up with a message saying that code is invalid because it’s already been used.
Ahh! That just might work. Now if the Comcast guy does his job right tomorrow (third time’s a charm, right?) I can try that!
There is a good chance that this will become DLC at some point.
