Google parts...

Hi all.

It is strange that there is no google parts to buy at the GBfans shop. Is the fans themself sell those parts? Is there a responsible persn for this or the google are just home made by everybody?

The shop offers the side knobs when available. Most of all the other parts are offered by the others members of the forum, such as franchesky or nick-a-tron…

I came in here to hopefully see a google link to some parts list but alas it’s a typo

I am making one from the paranorman plans and most parts can be found at home depot. I think it is as close as you can get.

Goggles I believe is what you mean. I think AJ has the side knobs as does nOSlit.

The latter comes with mounting hardware.

Also they was talks of another fiberglass goggle run If you want accurate looking frames.

Check the ForSale section on the frames.

If it’s something that looks like gogles in the movie, then it should be fine with me. Same type, same color. Googles are googles.

This is an interest thread for some very accurate looking goggles, a little pricy, but high quality:

Hey. If you can find massive quantities of Ecto Goggle parts.. please let me know!

(Didn’t think so..)

If you are the administrator of this site and you don’t have a clue, then as a noob, I know less than you lol.

The main issue is goggle parts have to be hand made for the most part. The one in the movies is based off of expensive military surplus night vision goggles. Many people make a set of welding goggles work with some fake lenses made from metal cylinders and electrical conduit connectors. It’s a prop most people slap together. The link I provided in my previous post is the most accurate I have seen available.

Interesting link! Thanx.

I found nick a tron site where he sells some googles parts, but he doesn’t sell the frame. I read somewhere that somebody was able to buy a frame at UKGB, but I didn’t find the site.

Is somebody selling googles frame or have an Idea for making one?

Someone actually took a weilding googles mask as a frame but that wasn’t accurate.

Maybe that I’m searching for the holy grail.

I’ve googled so many parts.

What’s Google?

Damn! Thats pushing it!

AJ pays people to know things for him.

I sell fibreglass frames:

Nick sells good looking resin lenses and knobs. AJ sells real side knobs.

Everything else can be bought online or locally (press studs, elastic, foam etc)

Hey guys just an idea I had while building my goggles. I spray painted the insides of the PVC eye parts with silver paint. Same paint i used on my clippard valves. The goggles seem to work better in dark rooms despite the green welder glass. I also added a blinky 3v red led about 10 dollars from radio shack as a kit with AAs.
