I was wondering, does anyone know if the gun knobs were a found part vs. being made just for the movies. I did a quick search of the forums, but gun knob generates hits for crank knobs as well, so it would take a while to sort through all the posts. Anyway, the reason I’m posting this is because I was looking through Grainger, trying to find a nut to fit on my SMC elbows and straights when I came across thumb nuts and lock nuts. A google image search generates interesting results
Now more research would need to be done into correct sizes and pricing(I’m sure you could get these in Nylon for cheaper, and paint them chrome/silver). But I thought this might be worth noting, and could possibly be a good alternative. Who knows, you may be able to find them in specialty stores which could be good during crunch time before a con or Halloween. Anyway, let me know what you think.
