We really enjoyed getting to know you all face to face. I can honestly say that it was a pleasure meeting the people behind the user name. This event has been so much fun already and is a great reminder on what this community is about in whole. We look forward to everyone coming back next year and it was so great seeing everyone having a good time. It was ALL worth while. I want to give out a very special thanks to all those that made it out here and made this possible. This has been a GREAT experience for me.
It was deffinately great to finally meet the faces behind the screen names. I know we had a blast and cant wait till next year. Now the reason Im up at 3am and posting is because of the wonderful food I ate at The Varsity. Gotta love Imodium, I should buy stock.
Even though I was not in GB costume, I was there and this was the first time I’ve seen so many GB’s at Dragon*Con after 6 years I’ve being in there.
So glad to meet some of the GBfans members there (AJ Quick for example), I’ve stopped by the fan table and seeing some familiar faces. I was the MR. ROBOTO and the MICHAEL JACKSON TROOPER in case you don’t know who I was. Probably by next year I will have something to wear to be part of the GB group…hey, I have the shoulder patches, though…that’s something.
Speedmonkey…was that Cadmonkeychic wearing the pink GB uniform? If so, I’ve seen you outside the Hyatt, and her Proton Pack is GENIUS. I remember you guys by the PALM COAST GB patch.
I also had a blast guys. I was the one with the black Gulfstream baseball cap keeping mostly to myself, lol. This just makes me want to finish my good pack and replace my foamcore one.
In case anyone is curious, I was also one of the group of 3 Spaceballs and the Warhammer 40000 Inquisitor.
I had a great time! It was really nice to meet everyone, put faces with names and meet some new friends. I think this was some very positive publicity for GBFans and for the Ghostbusters community as a whole. This trip was a lot of fun and hope everyone has a safe trip back!!
I had an awesome time! I do apologize for not hanging out with the group as a whole more.
Also thanks for my much UN-deserved CRUNCH award!!! That was TOTALLY unexpected, and very much appreciated. In fact it has already taken the forefront among Ecto 1-G’s other trophies…
I’ll go ahead and volunteer more involvement for next year, and barring a catastrophe the Ecto should be fully roofracked by then.
Also I checked on rooms for next year at the Hilton (probably the easiest of the host hotels to get in and out of) and they said they won’t start booking till sometime in October. I’ll keep checking and post back when they’re open and with a price!
