Has anyone noticed...

that just after Ray says ’ We neutronized it’, if you look at Egon’s pack the SE Cyclotron light is broken?

Just seen that now lol

Ahhhh 80’s props

some things you never notice until someone else points em out.

Well, they’d have a heck of a time trying to replace a burned out bulb quickly on set!

Not to threadjack, but I noticed a couple of little character things, if I might mention them:

When Venkman goes down the firepole, he’s still holding his chinese food carton! Cool bit from Bill Murray.

When Peck talks with Venkman in his office, you can see Janine peek around the edge of the file cabinet at them.

You can see a diploma awarded to Peter Venkman hung on the wall over Peck’s shoulder as he shakes the man’s hand.

The large black and white photograph dominating the center of the wooden wall lining the back of Venkman’s office is of a period photograph of LA23. The other smaller black and white photographs seen hung on the office walls prior to them being covered in newspaper clippings are also period LA23 photographs.

Egon gives Venkman hand gestures so Peter knows the billing figures.

Louis’ graduation photo is hung on the wall beside his bedroom door.

I noticed that too just recently. Afterall these years, it’s nice to see something new.

I think that’s Ray’s pack that Dan Aykroyd used in the hotel scenes. I recall seeing pictures that either paint had flicked off or something, but more of the light was being exposed than should have been.

He’s talking about a Cyclotron lamp that burned out during the final sequences of the film. What you’re talking about CJ, is paint breaking away from the power cell during the Hotel Sequence, which showed light comming from where it wasn’t supposed to be comming from, the burnt out cyclo bulb… Well there is no light there… Because you know… It’s burnt out.

I think in the GB2 scene where they notice the Statue of Liberty license plate, someone thought there was flashing lights on Venkman’s HGA(above the gun mount part) but it was just lights from the police cars…

on topic, I did notice this at one point before.

I’m not sure if this is good or not, but so far I’ve noticed everything that everyone has said so far.

I guess that just happens when you see a film over and over as we have done!

Couple more-

When Stay Puft approaches the top of the Sedgewick, Winston’s pack lights are running backwards (presumably the film is reversed?).

In GB2 when Egon gets his inspiration from the Ecto1-A’ license plate, the image of the statue of Liberty is clearly a decal.

Top of the Sedgewick?

And Venkmans lights are stuck and not rotating when they discuss crossing the streams on top of dana’s apartment ( or sedgewick depending on what version you watched  ) building just after stay puft blows fire up at them.

I have a thing for the lights haha

I believe the “sailor talk” scene they all have the foam packs on, which I believe had the solid lights.

The film was not reversed, for some reason the cyclo lights are just reversed in that particular scene. As for the static lights on Venkman’s pack during the crossing the streams they were wearing foam stunt packs, which I believe did not have roating lights.

It was the Shandor building, by the way. Haha.

when the boys step up to meet with gozer for the first time, bill murrays cyclo lights are flashing in reverse sequence, just noticed that one after 22yrs of watching…

55 Central Park West.

Man, I got a thing for typing ‘Sedgewick’ instead of the correct building (and/or film!). Danas’ apartment building. Gah!

Oh the shame.

OK: In the Library scene before the guys confront the ghost, Venkman slaps at Egons’ hand as he fiddles with a pocket calculator (or similar) - and the gizmo flies out of Spenglers’ hand.

If you look carefully, when Egon gives the ‘Twinkie’ speech, there’s a Proton Pack leaning against the table where Ray is sitting. Maybe a missing scene of Spengler explaining how the pack works?

Since Coz is obsessed with the Sedgewick, one for him!

I’m sure pleanty have noticed this but when the trolly hits the wall after slimer passes through it, the wall wobbles at the impact. Damn cheapo walls!

when the boys are running down the street during casey casem’s report, keep your yey on venkmans hose, it’s just wrapped around the trap pedal and before they cust to the next scene where he is doing the “24 hours a day” quote, it becomes unrolled and falls off
