Also would have been nice if they repositioned the green barrel extension lever to the correct placement for the original films’ packs, but considering this is a Hasbro product, I’m not surprised they didn’t.
I’m considering cutting it off, replacing it with a real hat light and wiring it to another light.
I’m having this issue with my Haslab pack. When i turn on the switch on the “activate” switch on the left side of the wand, it kills the power to my whole pack. This happens with both the Spengler wand and the newly released 1984 wand. Any help would be appreciated.
100% sure it an empty battery issue or a hose connection issue. Get new batteries and do the tape trick. Or you have vibration set on and a loose cyclotron cover.
I did the same with the mode change button. Wired the button to a real momentary switch, and added an LED with a light shroud covering the hole where the fake hat light was previously. The new LED was wired to the orange one underneath the Clippard.
Just for record keeping, the wand is now set to pre-order and ships March 1.

Same timeouts as before, basically 30 seconds.

Bumper pads for barrel popping open with wires in sleeve and a slightly different structure to capture the wires. (I need a new mounting block for my Wand KeepAlive board).

Is the switch that triggers the barrel sound effect still accessible? I cut mine out of my G1 Spengler wand, because I hated the toilet flush-like sound it triggers.
Same switch and location as on the Spengler version of the wand.
The wand times out in the same way as the Spengler wand. The Wand KeepAlive installs the same way (except for a new mounting bracket) and the KeepAlive functions just like it does with the Spengler wand.
It appears that there are no software or hardware changes to the wand’s controller board.
Since I mostly converted my Spengler wand to a Frozen Empire wand, I grabbed on as an alternate for my pack…
Clippard as well is larger…GBNews did a review. Not sure why, but again looks like mods are going to be coming in on this model as well.
So the noticeable differences that if you wanted movie prop accuracy, the mods required are:
*The Clippard Valve is slightly longer than the one used on the Spengler’s Neutrona Wand/movie prop
*The hat light on the gunbox is painted black. The hat light on the Spengler’s Neutrona Wand/prop is orange.
*Near the front grip, the momentary switch is painted red. The momentary switch on the Spengler’s Neutrona Wand is black.
*There is a black wire coming out of the front grip. The movie prop had a clear wire with red, yellow and black wiring running through it.
*Can use alcohol wipes to take away the silver
*Orange tip, can paint it silver
*Do the grips need to be swapped out?

Ordered the '84 wand from Haslabs Europe and hoping it’ll get delivered to the UK where is was OOS. Fingers crossed. If not, it was paypal, so refund should be easy.

My wand has ‘mistakenly’ been shipped to Ireland, instead of the UK. I’ve spoken with the Irish courier company handling it and they are now going to update my delivery address and forward it me in the UK. And with no additional charges. Superb!
Hi all, not been active on here for a while, but does anyone know where to buy one of these in Europe? I’m in Ireland now, and prices are quite high on the secondary market.
