I ve been lurking around here forever now, figured now that I ve actually got the ball rolling on a costume I should introduce myself. I know some/met one or two of the UK:GB briefly here and there. I m USAF Security Forces, stationed over here in the UK, been over seas since 2005, first Italy, now the UK… all things considered with a couple stops over in Iraq.. pretty nice assignments. It took me years but I am officially getting off my butt and putting a GB uniform and kit together.
I ve got flight suit… being in the Air Force made that part easy, pack I got from another Ghostbuster stateside … it needed some tlc and a few things replaced/fixed but with how much I always have going on… full time job, military, full time student, plus various cosplay groups and events… I d never get a scratch build done without it taking 5 years… one day though.. one day cause I want that experience under my belt I have a matty pke and thrower on hand at the moment as well… working on the rest as money comes in.
Looking forward to having this fully complete has always been on my list of things to do since I was like 3 so only took 25 years lol.
Thanks to everyone so far that I have spoken to and have already been a great help along with being very welcoming … also selling me their awesome stuff XD.

Oh yeah here are a few a quick shots of what I’ve got so far, I popped the matty thrower on to the pack, cause… well shiny new toy I couldnt resist lol. Going to be repainting that soon though to give it a better/more accurate look.
Thanks much, I m out near Cambridge but bop around all over the country when I m not working.
Enjoying it very much, been here since 2007 now too stubborn to leave lol. Have done, did a lil intro over there last night as well. Known Mark over there for a lil while now, hes pointed me in the right direction for a few things here and there.
Just seen your Mass Effect gear on your DeviantArt, I think we actually bumped into each other at MCM Expo a year or two back (first time I’d ever seen scar prosthetics like that in person, and left me wondering how it was done). Awesome stuff, and glad to hear you’re enjoying your stay.
Oh cool cool, MCM’s are so hecktic lol especially now adays crazy how populated they have become.
Dont know if youve picked up what is used since then had actually did a mini write up about the stuff the other day lol. We used rigid collodion to make the scars its really easy stuff to use. Simplest way is to just apply it and it does the everything on its own… basically tightens the skin, or you can go further and use make up to give a base layer to the scar and then apply the collodion for a more realistic look.
Dont apply over the same location multiple days in a row it can really mess with your skin. Also pick up some remover, to avoid damaging your skin instead of just peeling it off cause the stuff sticks to your skin and peels off like a scab.
Some scars me and my best friend have done over the years using it
