Long time lurker finally taking the time join. I live in New Jersey and I’m looking to start putting together my first costume. Ghosbusters was a staple of my childhood, as my mother likes to tell the story I would sit in front of the TV and watch it and once it ended I would say “Again” causing it to be on an endless loop in our house.
With the passing of Harold Ramis I decided to finally purchase a proton back (Viking Props), haven’t had the time to sit down and put together my own build, and to start building out my entire costume. I look forward getting feedback and guidance through the process and to meet some other Ghostbuster fans.
I thought the name Viking Props sounded familiar… Have you received the Pack yet? Unfortunately based on prior documented purchases from that prop maker, they aren’t known for superior quality.
Haven’t received it just yet, should be arriving at the end of the month. I knew it wasn’t going to be screen accurate but I was OK with that as I just didn’t have the time to do my own build. Supposedly there have been upgrades made since 2012 to make it look more accurate. When I receive it I’ll get some shots of it and post it in the thread so everyone can see an update version - not sure how much better it will be.
Just happy to finally be getting into it to be honest.
