Just wanted to take a moment and introduce myself, my name is Nathan (bish) and I hail from the great state of Michigan. I’ve been a ongtime Ghostbusters fan since I saw the movie as a kid when it was originally released in the theater. I decided out of the blue this last week that I was going to “throw together” a Ghostbusters costume for Halloween, knowing that it won’t be perfect but at the same time trying to make it as nice as possible in the time I have, you can imagine I’ve been scrambling, with many trips to the various hardware store in my area and frantic Internet searches hehe. The fact that I’m a 400 lb guy didn’t help with the uniform search but I think I found a suitable alternative to the flight suits out there. I’m hoping to lay the foundation for a good proton pack but know it’s not going to be totally accurate in the time I have, but I’m also going to try and make it so I can have something for this Halloween to wear out with the kids and then later on continue to refine and make it more and more acurate to the first movie-ish.
Anyway, the advice and ideas on here have been invaluable and I look forward to sharing some of the ideas I come up with as I build on my outfit.
