Hi everyone. Long time lurker, first time poster…
I’ve loved Ghostbusters since I first saw it in the theaters back in '84. Growing up, a friend and I watched the movie so many times that we wore out the tape. Through the years I’ve found new joys and interesting infatuations, but Ghostbusters never fades for me. And as the years past, each Halloween would bring the desire to build a proper suit and Proton Pack, but I always put it off.
This is what brings me to the community… Time to make it happen. I’m not so sure it’ll happen all at once (due to time and financial concerns), but you’ve gotta start somewhere. I’m starting with the suit for this Halloween, and maybe a pair of Ecto Goggles or a Belt Gizmo.
What else? I’m from Saint Paul, MN. In my free time I watch bad TV, read books, play on my PS3, and lately I’ve started running a little. I found the GBFans site while searching for people selling Proton Packs. I found one that looked good, so I decided to look into the seller. A link brought me to these forums where people were looking over his pack and saying “Nope, got this wrong.” “Nope, this thing should be over here, and this is too big.” “Nope, nope, nope.” Then I looked at the packs built here, and I drooled. Then I looked at the complexity and price tags and got a little scared, but still drooled nonetheless.
