I’m Chris and I’ve joined the forum because I stumbled across this site as part of my not-so-sudden dive into pulling together a quality Ghostbusters cosplay after realizing it’s the only actual costume that I’ve ever been seriously enthusiastic about. Here’s my “origin story”:
I first saw Ghostbusters as part of a double-feature at a drive in when it released (I have no idea what the other movie was). The drive-in was in Portland, OR, and it was one of the summers when I was visiting family. Only a few movies make it into my “watch over and over” list and this movie has always been one of them. It’s probably why I spent a good chunk of my teen years with friends looking for haunted spots. A month ago some friends and I went to a resort with theme nights. One of the nights was “emergency responder” and I suggested we break the mold and go as a team of Ghostbusters. That move apparently triggered a strong desire for cosplay.
Anyway, I’ve got a not-quite-film accurate jumpsuit, a bunch of halloween.com props, and am looking forward to many spooky seasons decked out in an increasingly cool Ghostbusters suit.
