Hello everyone,
I’ve been lurking around the website since January. I finally decided to build my first proton pack and uniform for Halloween this year. Luckily for me I know a few people who are in the Houston Ghostbusters group, but I haven’t told them I’m doing this yet. would like to get part of it done and the post pics on facebook and be like “SUPRISE” lol.
anyways my first experience putting together a costume was for the texas renaissance festival, and I went all out, leather armor & and a big sword. last year I even made my own leather armor, but I’ve got a hurt back now and it’s just too heavy to walk around in something like that. I’m planning on making an assasins creed type costume for trf 2012, but I’ll have to find a decent job before I can start on it. Other than leather armor, I’ve spent the last 6 months building halo armor and learning how to use pepakura and 3ds max. I came to the realization that there is no way I can finish my halo stuff in time for this halloween, mainly due to money issues, so I figured I can finish my proton pack by then. I know you’re probably thinking, it takes quite a bit of money to build a proton pack, and trust me I know, but I figure even if I have to leave off some of the little pieces, and maybe the lights & sound pkgs, I can still get it started…
I’ve already started building my pack using ProtonCharger’s pepakura files and I’ve even modeled a ghost trap in 3ds max and transfered it into pepakura I’ll share all that with everyone later today or tomorrow.
anyways I hope to get to know everyone a lot better on here, see you on the other side
