Just another nerd from the Keystone state here.
Not quite sure what to say here. I’ve been a Ghosthead, well, since before I was born, I guess. One of Mom and Dad’s favorite stories to tell me is about how they went to go see Ghostbusters and Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan in theaters while they were dating. Which just so happen to be my two favorite movies of all time, and I didn’t show up until two years later. Funny, that. So, naturally, every time Ghostbusters gets re-released in theaters, Mom, Dad and I (and whoever I’m seeing at the time) get together and go see it.
While my eyesight’s perfect, Dad’s an optician and for my birthday one year he made me a pair of red-rimmed, round, non-prescription eyeglasses (yes, just like Dr. Spengler’s from The Real Ghostbusters) that I wore from the time I was like six until thirteen, if memory serves. I dunno, but I’m sure Dad’s going to rag me about it again the next time we get drunk in the backyard.
On the plus side, I finally picked up a decent job that gives me a decent amount of disposable income. And because I am an adult and I do responsible adult things like a full-grown, responsible adult, I immediately blew entirely too much money ordering a proton pack, flight suit, the whole nine yards, for Halloween this year.
Shut up. Don’t judge me.
Yeah, I’m pretty bad at being an adult. Good to know there’s a bunch of people out there that are just as (if not worse) than me, haha.
Glad to be here, and I’m really glad I’m not alone!
