Hi guys and gals! I’ve been building and tinkering with costumes for 15 years or so, on and off. I always bite off more than I can chew, so this year I decided to do a proton pack. I decided to do it around September 20th, and I decided to go about it in a completely new (to me) way, and Murphy has been raining down on me with his frigging laws since day one. I’d like to start a thread detailing the build, but I’m literally working on it from the time my kids go to bed, until about midnight every day!
I bought a 3D printer, learned how to do 3D modeling (or an approximation of it), modeled up a proton pack and thrower(almost done, at least) and am gluing the piees together, bondo-ing them, and getting them ready to make a mold. The party I’m building them for (yeah, there’s one for my wife, too…) is in 15 days!
I couldn’t have reached this point without the wealth of info on this site, so thanks, everyone! I’m taking lots of pics, so I will detail this build…at some point!
