Hi guys and Gals, new here and I am terrified to ask , but where do i start finding out to make a very cool proton pack?
I know there must be a list here somewhere, I just can’t find it.
I hate to ask aswell , what is it going to cost me?
any help would be appreciated.

Yes, have a look around, there is plenty of info in the plans section and if you do a search you can find answers to most any build question. If you get really stuck just ask but I would recommend you start a thread on your build and ask any and all questions there instead of starting a new post each time, you’ll find you get better feedback that way.

yeah, welcome to the fold! i have to agree with irri…if you start a thread about your build and include updates and pictures, you’ll get way more feedback than just posting random questions. plus, we all LOVE pictures!!!

If I were to give you a budget to work from, there is probably someone who could claim you could do it for less or some saying that it cost them more and both would be correct. There are hundreds of ways to build a proton pack and make it look great. What I would do is go to the plans section on the site and make a list of all the major components you will need. Then decide which parts you are going to purchase pre-made and which ones you are going to scratch build yourself. If pre-made, determine if you are able to obtain those parts and what they will cost. If scratch built, determine what tools and materials you will need and the cost for that. Add that all together and you will get a good rough estimate of the total cost for your pack.

Welcome, welcome. If you want my advice, I recommend you don’t fall into the obsession over details like so many others around here. To anyone that isn’t a Ghosthead, it doesn’t matter what components your pack is made from. Too many people nitpick over the tiniest little detail. I am one of these people. Don’t sweat over making every little thing just right. In the end, the proton pack’s form is just a pair of boxes stacked over a circular cake pan that’s adorned with little shiny knobs, wires, and pipes. That’s all you need to get the point across, really. Even a pack that’s deemed to be garbage by the hardcore fans will still be impressive. I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with wanting your pack to look as close to the real deal as possible. I think durability is more important than accuracy.
I agree Adam totally ive had some pm’s on here from folk im naming no names telling me little bits wrong with my pack the very milimeters that some things are out. And it drives me mad. On the other hand ive had loads of positive comments and loads of help too.
