im know the tutorial explains how to hide woodgrain,but im going to start painting in a couple of days,and i just wanted to get some advice from the experts.you guys rock.
Use you your choice of wood putty, bondo, or glazing putty to fill in the imperfections of the wood. Then sand it with sand paper (start out with a rough grit and then work your way up to somthing smoother) until the wood is super smooth and then give several coughts of primer. Wood usually absorbes a lot of paint… I’d wait until you’ve got the wood grain hidden with the primer before I put on the final cought of black paint.
