I’m trying to figure out how to make Holtzmann’s guns as seen below:

Does anyone have any pointers or has anyone else made these yet? Anyone know of a similar-looking toy gun that I could possibly modify?

Here’s another image of one, if it helps any.

Thinking of doing a combo of this gun and Kylie’s for my daughter. :kylie:
It is a bit costly but here is one option. https://www.etsy.com/listing/458450228/ghostbusters-holtzmnn-proton-pistols?ref=hp_rv.. if nothing else you can use the photos as more refrence.
My fiance and I are doing a build of these guns. They might not turn out perfectly this first round, but I’ll post photos when they are closer to being done…as in, with all the LEDs installed and working ![]()
Here is a quick photo of one pistol. The other needs a bit more paint, and are made entirely of EVA foam, but they are complete!
Huge thanks go to Anders Hudson of Midwick Armory for magically finding the time to create these somewhat last-minute.

Beautiful work and thanks for doing a nice write up to help others, and the scale and paint work look really good.
So…
How do they taste?
Thank you so much for this! I’ve been looking everywhere for a decent breakdown of parts and this has helped tenfold.
Will you be my new best friend lol. Seriously, in love with your blog updates and these pistols are amazing. Obligatory ‘lick’ photo required ![]()
HAhah!! I’m a little wary of licking this particular paint, but maybe I’ll put some kind of clear coat something-or-other on that spot…heh.
I wish there was more actual write up to share, but I lack the time at the moment. I have more photos that I’ll add to my blog post after Dragon Con.
Of course, LOL! I’ll try my best once I’m in full Holtz-mode
Nicely done! You are brilliant.
Daww, shucks  Thanks!
I don’ t know about brilliant…crazy maybe?
Here is a high resolution photo of one of the screen used blasters we got to fondle and play around with. It is made primarily out of resin.

Also, feel free to grab screen shots.
