Holy ■■■■! All these years later and I/m just now finding out they are actually different parts! I knew the packs used the ones with shorter hex/wrench area and less barbs, but I just always assumed it was the same part, and just a case of old production style vs. new. Thanks Dan!
Sorry! If we’re being honest it’s a super small detail, and I’ve been all about the super small details lately. You can always hacksaw off the extra barb, which should take too long but most people aren’t going to notice. Heck I wouldn’t have noticed until I purchased a few 3s by accident.
