So afther 2 or 3 weeks of ordering, i got my googles in Ecuador! They came in this box. With no protection inside… only one bag filled with air.

This is the frame… looks good, and very sturdy. A litle sanding needs to be done, but that´s ok.

Thanks Reth!

MAn, I;'m starting to think blowing 1200.00 bucks on that air bag maker was a waste of cash. I’m goign back to expandable foam.

the clear peice is the interior plate, adn those two peices are deco peices that you can use anywhere. I usually put them over the spot where the knobs would be, and run “wireing” out of them.

You should assemble everything in the interior first, then paint her black.

On the outside, hit the one lense with silver/chrome, let it dry completely, and them seal it with a solid clear coat.

Then hit the rest of the lenses with gloss black. Cure, seal, and then mask as well. The rest of the fask mask should be painted olive drab, like the milatary color. Details aroundthe mask are shades of black. I encourage creativity on the details, like the small screws, etc.

Glad you like it, and that crack won’t give you any trouble. Sorry bout the packing, I’m trying new things here and there.

I actually like the first ones

Good luck with the new set

I am very impressed. I’ll want one of those someday. How much do they cost?

The kit cost me $90 shipping included! I´m building them right now.

Very nice! Looks like a sweeeeet kit!! I especially like the interior piece! That’s a darn cool idea!

Reth, can you get just that piece? I’d love to add it to my incoming NVG’s…

Hold on… getting ready for the paint job!

I fixed the crack with epoxy, becasue it´s a hard place to reach i couldn´t sand it!

Looking good!

Here’s some photo’s of how my Proptype buildup went! These are now in the hand of Bobataff!

Keep on workin’! They look good so far! I’ll be following your thread closely!

did u use hot glue to attach the litle knobs on the out side of the lenses?

Thanks

Sal

Oh my, no!! does best Prof. Farnsworth impression

Absolutly not!

Use superglue, i love locktie! Its my favorite!!

Don’t apply it to a painted area, it’ll bond to the paint only, then rip it off under stress. Sand the area a bit first, then apply the glue/part.For the lenses, trim them to fit snugly into the sockets!!

MORE PICS!! I’m excited to see your finished product!

Ok, so i painted it green with spray paint, i use one coat of adhesive , then spray painted, then super glue the knobs (i´m using one glue like the “crazy glue” that u guys have in america). I like how it is comming along.

I´ll try to do a fan film next weekend! Happy busting from CAZA!

Ok out of all of Hotshot’skits that I’ve seen his pack and his goggles are by far the best he makes and for 90 bucks you can’t beat that.

Caz,great job man.

I dig this kit. I would love to get one some day.

JC

Is there anything you don’t make a kit of, hotshotdraw?

Yea, there’s a few things . . .

I mostly steer clear of kits that others are making, so the already tiny market doesn’t get killed, and a bunch of us get stuck with gallons of resin in our basements!

Really glad everyone liked the kit! The feedback was very positive!!!

Are you still selling the kits?

I just received my goggles. THEY ARE AWESOME!!! I’m going to love working on this to make it look as authentic as it can. Most of all the work is done already. Thanks again…

COOL! show us your progress!! Posst pics!

caz or hot shot: 1) great goggles…2) what did you use for the lenses so that you could still see through?
