how can i make a mold for my pack!?

hey guys,

ive been noticing people have made molds for packs by themselves…it might sound dumb but i made my pack completely out of scrap wood from around my house cause it was all i had. and man my pack is heavy. i was hoping to get a lighter pack or make one and i was wondering if it would be possible to make a mold out of my old pack since it is made out of wood. if anyone has some tips on how i could possibly make a mold that would be great. i have no clue what to use or how to do it or if it is even possible. i would really appriciate some help though. thanks so much! :cool:

Well if you are looking to save money just purchase a fiberglass shell it’s cheaper…

But. if you are willing to drop about $1000 and the time to do it then by all means go for it, but be warned you should practice on smaller stuff… One mistake and it could scrap the whole project…

it won’t be budgetary efficient to make a mould for a single shell. if you’re to make a mould, you better have the intention to make a few… otherwise, simply buy a fiberglass shell as already advertise.
