I watched the video on Hyperdyne’s web site of how the gun LED kit works… It appears that when the lights for the tip of the gun are activated, the LEDs in the bar graph go into a different “split pattern.” Does anyone know if that is movie accurate or was that something cool Hyperdyne added?
I dont think so. But sometimes Peters gun lights all stay lit as a single colum.
Ya, I’ve noticed that with some of the other fella’s packs as well. Rather than an effect, I think the prop department just cut corners. It’s a lot easier to make all of the lights in the bar graph constantly lit, than to have them cycle through up and down.
T also notesed that when there hiding from Mr. Stay-Puffed there packs dont have the clips for their proton guns. :?
That’s because they’re wearing stunt packs.

Yeah the stunt packs were really noticable in the first movie. Just look at the straps its not even an alice pack frame on there.

Also watch when they hide from Mr. Stay Puft, Venkman leans against the wall and the ion arm of his pack bends and the cyclotron lights are made of reflective material.
the packs in ghostbusters 2 only had a lit bargraph on the gun…it didn’t move or anything. (and it was yellow)
