Basically, I have prop pictures on my comptuer but have no idea of how to go about getting them on my personal profile…How do you? Everyone else seems to know to upload or link or whatever  …so little help from anyone might be nice…please?
No one has been uploading any pics to this site. They’ve all found other places to upload them (like image hosting sites). The forum’s pic uploading feature is down right now (and will be for quite a while).
Read.
I am thinking all user’s props images will be completely deleted soon. I am tired of people demanding for their images to be put up.. this site is free.
Hey AJ.. that kinda sucks.. I for one enjoy while looking at reference pics of packs.. that I can go check out how someone else may have done there pack.. the only pics I think need to be deleted are the thumbnail dead links that dont take you to a larger pic…but we look at the other pics for inspirtation.. Seeing some nice packs made by general people is always a confidence booster…
True.. but people can show them off in the forums.
I agree with Buzz, but your the admin, so if it’s trouble to you personally you don’t want to deal with, it’s cool. They are in fact inspiring to me too, woo!
Sorry AJ
; I meant no offense, I promise. I just did not like the thought people thought I had nothin’. I just am really internet unknowledgable (and suck at spelling for that matter) . I do have a proton pack and wanted to show it on my profile, 's’all…
Then all you need to do is go to: http://www.photobucket.com Once there, sign up for a free account and upload your pictures, below each pic you’ll see 3 bars, use the top one which is your url. In order to have it pop up, you must push the button Img paste the link right next to it without hitting the spacebar, then without pressing it again, push the Img button (located above the post a reply typing box) and once again do not use the spacebar. The website will read the link and pop the image up on your post and/or profile. Here’s a hint though: Use a small pic for your signature if you choose to do that, otherwise you’ll piss alot of guys off at once
hmm photobucket.. sounds easy enough..
photobucket’s who I use all the time. Takes like 5 minutes to set up a free account and I’ve never reached a limit yet knock on wood
I agree and disagree. The photos of other peoples’ props are pretty interesting to look at and it would be a shame if they were removed entirely. (It’s the Prop Archive, after all.) However, I can definitely see how this causes headaches for AJ.
Maybe there are ways around removing everything…when clicking on the Prop Management link on the main page, propless users (like me) get the “This User Has No Props” message. Perhaps a brief explanation, like the one on the front page, would be appropriate in this spot. I realize that there’s no way to make this site foolproof, and even if a complete explanation of the lack of a photo upload was posted around every corner, AJ would still get PMs asking what the deal was.
I think limiting user pics to the message boards is a good idea. Although someone has to write a post every 2 weeks explaining how to use Photobucket, it at least takes the problem out of AJ’s hands. The guy provides us all with a very nifty, FREE site, and I hate the thought of this site being a burden to him since everyone here gets so much use and enjoyment out of it.
Anyway, that’s just my 2 cents. This site is AJ’s baby and he can do as he pleases.
Maybe instead of each user uploading pics to their profile, they could just have a link to their pics like at photobucket. Then AJ could delete all of the pics and save himself all the trouble of having to deal with bad pics, or bad links, it’s completely in the user’s hands to create their own link and post it on their profile.
That’s a good idea bro, I just added a link to my Image Shack photo album in my profile.
Whatever makes AJ’s life easier! ![]()

Maybe appointing a few select people as ‘Forum Moderators’ would take some of the burden off of AJ. Last check there were over 4050 registered users for the site, and thats a lot for one guy to handle!
THey could deal with picture requests, forum moderation, dead links, etc. While still giving AJ full control of the site.
Just a thought…

benn watching this thread deciding whether or not i should post because i did at one point a few months ago ask AJ how to post the props…i had no idea that he was unable to…but GBCam i think that is a good idea for moderators to watch that and all…hmm a really good idea
Well. I don’t want to delete them right now. But I’m not looking forward to getting any more uploaded any time soon. The process was far too difficult for too many people. If you guys want to see them staying up.. support the site. Click on a ad every day or every visit.. or pay to get your ad up on the site.
Will do, chief
! I mean click every visit (Lord knows I ain’t got anything advertise…
)
sure thing i guess it isnt too hard to do that…and AJ i would like to apologize if my PM a while back upset u at all cos it was before i had heard anything about the prop uploading being down ![]()
I still think it could work out well if everyone could post one good picture (only one!) then link all their other pictures to an image hosting site.
Click the thumbnail and it takes you to the others, or something like that.
