Hi,

I have a big Problem! I bought after 2 Months ago a Proton Pack Shell on Ebay from an Ebay Member called “145will” Midwest Prop Shop and I never received it till yet! I did’nt know anything about that Guy. After four weeks ago I’ve sent him 2 Emails if he had shipped it, or if he has any tracking information etc. I became no answere, then I informed Paypal about that and I’ve sent him another Email through Paypal. Then I got an Email from him that he says "I’m sorry… I think that was my Mistake… Maybe I got an wrong Address onto the Package…And the Package is maybe on it’s way back to him. I should confirm him my Address that he would go for sure he wrote the right Address onto the Package. He told me then it was shipped on March 9th and he also gaves me an Customs Forms Nr. Then I told him that I gave an Search order to my Post offices and Customs offices. He also tells me he would ship an Replacement Pack Shell. I told him let’s wait before You ship out an Replacement shell if the Search orders got an Result. The search orders did’nt came to an result, so I told him If he please would sent an Replacement Pack shell now, because the Search orders did’nt came to an result. He wrote back that he would cast one for me and would ship it out at the end of last week(I should watch my Mails for the Mailing Info). He did’nt wrote back, so I wrote him but have’nt become an answer till yet. I also phoned again today with the Post offices(I never give up) and today they came to the result that the Customs form Nr. he gave to me was not of my Package it was an another Addressee in Germany. A very weird story I know, but did anyone know what I can do now? I’m very frustrated because the Shell was $345,- with international shipping and I also spent a lot of Money for other Parts I need to finish the Pack. I did’nt have any Job at this time so it’s a lot of Money for me :frowning: I also had open cases through Paypal but they are all automatically closed over the deadline, because he always putted me off. Can I get my Money back???

Jeez, mate i don’t really know what to tell you, i would really press hard on the guy, threaten him with lawsuits and taking it further than just paypal. You paid for a service you didn’t get. I had a similar experience with Joe Kerezman also known as Captainamerica on ebay (AVOID AT ALL COST) it took me nearly 4 months to get my uniform off him and it wasn’t hardly worth it. Honestly, keep pressing on him, and really, play hard ball. Don’t be soft with this guy, don’t be “please could you this and please could you that” DEMAND things from this guy. With the threat, they should be pretty quick to respond, i found that in my case. If not, then I’d seriously consider taking it further and enciting legal advice, its a large sum of money you’ve potentially lost.

Thanks a lot for Your tips Bob!!! I finally got an Answere from him after several Emails. Now he wrote he has shipped my Pack shell and he gaves me an new Customs Form Nr. Now I’m hoping and Praying that I finally became my Pack Shell.

Is this guy in America (I’m assuming since you said $ and not £) and does he have a business account? If so, I believe the Americans have something akin ot the Distance Selling Regulations. If you’re still having problems post back and I’ll look into the law for you. (I own my own business and have to abide by the DSR’s so I’m “in the know!” :wink: )

Thanks a lot Guys for all Your help! He is an US Seller. I did’nt know that he was on the Black List, sorry. He told me he has shipped my Shell now, he also gave me new Tracking Informations. Now I’m waiting and hoping.

Ha. Wait until he finds out the quality of the shell. There’s more than one reason for being a blacklisted seller. Good luck.

BTW, feel free to check this forum before buying any more parts. This place is pretty good about letting you know who has a history of bad service or bad parts, and who’s ethical. Customers talk, info is exchanged. :slight_smile:

I havn’t seen a midwestpropshop item on eBay popup in a while. I wonder if being blacklisted has actually damaged his business that much.

I had expected him to still make a trade with the “Halloween crew” who don’t even check this place or don’t care who’s being screwed over just as long as they get what they want cheaply

Hey, I could have wrote this story myself.

Bought a nice looking shell from that Will145 in February ( yeah 345 dollars ), got no answers in a month, no replies whatsoever… One sole reply once to make me wait a bit more ( “no shell yet ? Probably lost… Don’t worry, gonna send you another one” )… And, some days before the end of the Paypal deadline, I blocked the stuff by setting a claim. He first send me a wrong shipping number ( on this one, stuff was delivered in 2004 ) in case I would be fooled and ceased the Paypal block; And, as I wasn’t tricked, he promptly send me a shell a few days before being obliged to refund my money.

So, shell arrived.

Duh.

I wanted to buy a shell to gain some time over making it from scratch; Guess what ? It’s a fail. No 90° angles anywhere, no good dimensions, and so on. The shell is so ■■■■■■ up that I already spent more than one month to resculpt it entirely, and I had to buy pieces from other members on GBFANS to help me on this one. Have a piece of shell from Alkaline, so I can compare, and cry.

I got, at least, another month ahead of painstaking job before being able to mold the stuff and get a decent shell out of it.

In the end, the ■■■■■■■ stays at 100% and top seller on Ebay because he’s an excellent buyer ( who cares ? ) and Ebay forget previous sells after one month… So it is impossible to leave a negative feedback. One can see he got some experience to rip people off. :boogieman:

Manuel1983, if you read this ( and I hope you do ) : DO NOT TRY to use this shell as if : It will break, it’s too heavy, you won’t be able to put anything on it… at least remold it to make it a fiberglass, proper shell. Good luck mate, we are in the same ship/t you and I. >_<

We really have to do something to stop this as****e for good…

Thanks for Your Tipps Davlin! The Problem is I have no experiences in casting or molding Fiberglass. I wished I was an Member here before I bought that Shell from him. I also had an Eye on the AlkalineProps Fiberglass Shell I wished I had buy that, it’s the same Pricerange. But I haven’t any more Money to buy another Shell at this Time :frowning:

Well, I feel really sorry for you buddy. At this point, I’d really, strongly, recommend you to use this experience to learn how to avoid bastards like him in the future, and to save up for an Alkaline shell.

I know it’s extremely frustrating, but don’t try to do anything with that shell - you would lose more time and money - and wait for a good, nice fiberglass one to work with ease and be happy with it in the end.
