Hi Kingpin, actually it was. Someone is asking 2278 pounds, that’s almost 3000 euros, 3300 dollars, for one matty wand.
Perhaps I’m too green on these things but I wouldn’t believe it if I hadn’t seen it.

I don’t know about other folks, but the image that’s coming up for me is of a silver car, not a Proton Gun - that might explain the pricetag.
There is. If it’s a live auction, and not your own (and unless it’s something of high interest to the community, or extremely rare) we usually don’t allow linking to it until the auction has ended.

It’s supposed to be the pic of a matty wand priced at 20 times the original cost at amazon.co.uk. That’s what I wanted to point out and perhaps discuss about.

I see the Mattel Wand and agree that the price is outrageous, but I’m not surprised considering the situation. Mattel just announced a mass-market kid’s proton pack for the new movie. The original wand was released only through MattyCollector - so relatively speaking few people knew about it. With the announcement of the new pack, several of those that saw the announcement are now going to now find out about the original wand and want one. Not saying I agree with it, but saying I can see why the scalpers marked it up.
(This coming from a guy who bought 3 from MattyCollector with absolutely no plans to sell any of them. I bought the third as an extra in case one of the first two breaks down the road as my son and I play with them.)

Same here. The only conclusion I can come to is maybe there are two images with the same name saved on the service, and that’s what’s causing it to switch.
However, because it’s annoying, and the alternate image has nothing to do with Ghostbusters, I’m going to host a fresh copy and post it here to stop it swapping around.
