I'm back in Minneapolis

I’ve been doing Ghostbusters props, off and on, for years. People who went to midnight s screenings of Ghostbusters at the Plaza Maplewood or Brookdale 8 theaters about 10 years ago may remember the manager with the ghost trap on display. That was me, and I still have that trap kicking around (or parts of it that weren’t recycled, anyway). I also built a petition pack, but Gozer only knows where it is these days (long story).

By day I’m a vfx artist these days and more then happy to help bring some digital magic to any fan films out there. I should have my new site up soon (changing companies to go with the cross-country move back to MN).

I love props because it’s nice to actually build something physical.

Welcome back, I used to go to the Brookdale 8 all the time back when the mall was still there…anyways if you doing a pack build anytime soon, let me know I am building one too could use some help from someone with experience.

I’m working on one as we speak, actually. I’m using a laser cuter at the Hack Factory to cut out some of the pieces. It’s working a treat!

I’m pretty sure I went to a Brookdale 8 screening of Ghostbusters many many many years ago.

I had a Proton Pack, and won a free copy of Ghostbusters on DVD.

Does that ring a bell?

Yup. I was stuck running the theater so didn’t see the DVD, but I remember the costume.

Cool, the hack factory is amazing. Plus that place is full of knowledge on all kinds of stuff.

Welcome!

Welcome back!

Do you have pics of your old trap? Its cool to see some of the older builds resurface.

Welcome back to the boards Akadion! Post pic’s please!
