Hello all,
my name is Ivan and I am from Holland and am already a member of Ghostbusters Dutch Division.
Born in late 70’s so I really have enjoyed the 80’s with all their great iconic movies and cartoon series (which I still enjoy looking these days).
Furthermore I am quite a busy guy. I have just finished with my home-improvement (which took me 2,5 years), I play drums in a Sepultura tribute band and am doing LARP events for quite some time where I did met my girlfriend.
The way I (re)discovered Ghostbusters is when me and my girlfriend visited a fantasy-styled fair in the Netherlands. There we saw a Steampunk-themed guy walking with a huge container on his back with lots of brass gizmos attached to it and a connected gun. Next thought I got was; “Hey, this reminds of of Ghostbusters”
By seeing that, I asked my girlfriend if she would like it if we would start collecting costumes and items in Ghostbusters style. She got enthousiastic just as me and we started looking on the internet for refference photo’s and plans for proton-packs.
And then, we discovered that there is really a HUGE community for this theme with an unbelievable amount of people who are building 110% accuratre movie replicas.
Not that much later, we discovered a Dutch group (Ghostbusters Dutch Division) as well and started talking with them about membership.
Now, a couple of months later, we already own our flightsuit patched with the no-ghost logo and nametag, belts, ellbowprotection, leg hose and boots! Some of them ordered at AJ’s Fanshop.
So we are getting a long fine for now I might say 
Nest I am not sure yet which props will get my first attention. Of course there is the proton-pack which would be a major achievement to create these for us. But then again, there are so much awesome props to make that it is really hard to choose.
I am considering; the Proton Pack, the Sniffer (which would give us another role in the GBDD group, but would be fine), portable mood-slime chargers (I know; this is not movie accurate. It doesn’t even exist, but I have some ideas which would be great for interacting with other non-ghostbuster people), belt gizmo and (which I am busy drawing in 3D) a containment unit.
I think this unit would be a great “plus” for our Dtuch group and I have already seen an awesome builder of this item who has really got my attention.
I am really glad to have found this community and hope to be of service when people need drawings to be redrawn or so (or to be converted to Metric insted of Imperial ;-)).
So, that’s is my story so far.
