Sinse the invention of ebay I have been on the search.

As a kid, I was an avid Ghostbusters fan and collected the memorabilia and collectables (as we now know them) but over time I lost a fair few but one always played on my mind. You see I was very close to my nan and used to sit in her kitchen and listen to the cassette that acompanied the ladybird book.

Everyone has it but I seem to be the only one who remembers the cassette. And for years now I have been scowering the internet for proof at the least, and at most a copy. This search intensified after my Nan passed, but to no avail.

Anyway I was on Ebay looking through retro and rare ghostbusters items when, to my amazement I stumbled upon this…

As a collector I hate opening things up when I can’t repackage them, ESPECIALLY something this old, but I’m going to HAVE to hear this and will be taking a razor to the plastic to extract the cassette (I already, like most, have the book) & will be hooking my cassette player up to my sound desk and making a digital copy. My question is: Who’d like me to post a copy here?

I’ve still got mine.I remember it came on a very big bit of card,with pink slime all over it.The tape was hilarious the voice acting was so bad…but i loved it.My mum picked it up from our local corner shop in about 1992-1993 :slight_smile:

I have this book too and didn’t know there was a cassette tape.

Wow! That’s awesome. Never knew they did a one with Ghostbusters 2. Any chance of providing an Mp3? I’ve got some others of these; 3 based on the first film (only one is about the film’s plot, the others are new stories set in the film’s world), and 4 on The Real Ghostbusters.

Wow, this is so terrible it’s funny! And the music cue’s give it a kind of Real Ghostbusters feel in my opinion.
