I posted this on the RPF as well but found it pretty funny so thought I would post it here as well
So tonight I got pranked, and ending up telling the person pranking me that he did a good job and I was laughing bout it. Here is the full story
It starts out on Monday night while at COC(College of the Canyons) while scarfing down 1/2 a subway sandwhich for my dinner before my class at around 6pm, I see this pretty cute “punk rock” girl with bluish green hair. As I was in such a rush I grabbed a pen and paper wrote down my cell #. As I was walking out proceeded say “Excuse me I think you are cute and I love your hair, gimme a call sometime we will grab a cup of coffee”
That same night I get a text from 2 different people asking if this is “Andrew” I respond with “Yes, who is this” they never reply after a few chit chat txt msgs back and forth such as “how is your day going” etc over the next day or two. Tonight the “girl” this would be person #3 for those counting, texts me and tells me her name and such. After a a few general chit chat txt msgs back and forth I get the following to some basic questions which were not my first but within first 5. Note I am only listing the ones that I found “prankworthy”
- ME- after talking to “her a little about how she got her hair” she then asks for a that I sent I then say the following “Yes that is a social Distortion Shirt, do you like the band”
2)Prankster- “No I do not listen to bands”
3)Me- Oh well what kind of music do you like
4)Prankster- Miley Cyrus and Yodeling
5)ME- “I have never have listened to her. So what are you studying at COC”
6)Prankster- “I am only going to school because the sisterhood has not accepted me yet”
7)ME- LOL good prank but you went a little to far with the “sisterhood line”. Either way thanks for the good laugh.
8)Prankster- Dammit I probably should of thought of something else to say, oh well thanks
Now what made me think this was a prank were a few things.
1)The few people texting me over the last day or 2
2)Something in my gut was saying this is probably a prank the whole time
3)Miley Cyrus- This partially made my “gut instinct” happen
My assumption is the girl laughed or something when I gave her number then gave it out to a few people in the cafteria/quad to let them prank me.
Anyway about a hour or 2 later I get a phone call(voice) from a # I do not recognize I answer it just to see what else my night might hold. It is this prankster, he proceeds to tell me he is sorry for pulling the prank. We then end up having a 5 or 10 minute conversation on how he should not of said Miley Cyrus and the sisterhood thing. He then goes on to ask why I did not talk to this girl for a little bit. I explain how ■■■■■■ my teacher gets and barrades anyone who walks in within 30 secs of class starting. He then mention how he has had some jerk teachers like that as well. He then apologizes again, and says I was such a good sport bout it he felt kinda bad. He then lastly says next time I am on campus he will buy me a cup of coffee or something to make up for it.
I was still a little angry when I sent the message “LOL good prank but you went a little to far with the “sisterhood line”. Either way thanks for the good laugh.” I figured at this point it would get the prank to stop if nothing else or this girl to never speak to me again, if she was being honest. Either way I learned along time ago to trust my instincts and they told me quite a few times between text message(about 10-15 minute periods between messages) that this is probably a prank and such. I did not expect the guy to not only text me back and confirm it was a prank, or to apologize.
Once I realized it was a prank though, and the anger subsided I started laughing a lot not just at myself, but how weird and out there the prank messages where. I mean who in their right minds, can listen to Miley Cyrus that is over the age of 12. Lastly I realized that this person is probably not as cool as me, and may not have the courage to give a girl his # so he could be sitting at home stalking girls he has/has had crushes on high school. So if nothing else I can laugh at that, I took the initiative and he probably would not of if circumstances were reversed!
