Im having a bit of a problem that I hope you can help me with. Im left handed and every pattern and picture ive seen is for a right handed pack. Is there any place where I could find a left handed pattern?
hey guys,

I dont know if I have seen any compley left hand packs but all you should have to do is reverse the plans to make the conversion.
i made a left handed gun by accident. like the other guy said, flip the plans over.
Or just make a Right handed pack. If you are left handed then you are more then likely closer to being ambidextrous, being a left handed person in a right handed world. And if that’s the case, using a right handed back shouldn’t bother you too much.
The only reason I’m saying all this is because I too am left handed and using the pack as it was originally set up does not bother me at all. The other alternative is you can be like Rick Moranis in GB2. He’s left handed and he held backwards (and awkwardly).
I guess I’m saying for trouble you’d have going through making a left handed back, you might as well just use a right handed one. It really not a problem for me.
Guyver of the Kansas City Ghostbusters has a left-handed/reversed pack: Guyver - GBFans.com | GBFans.com
That’s the only one I’ve ever seen but there may be others… He owned a regular pack before that so I suggest you send him a PM. The pack is a wooden kit made by Slimer7 I believe and I’ve actually seen it in person- Very nice, a little disorienting, (Being reversed) but nice…
Matt… You rock dude! lol!
that kids pack is pretty cool.
an i thought rick moranis held it funny because he was new to the whole ghostbusting thing, to show he’s tough to janine
wow thanks guys for all your help
Dan Aykroyd is a lefty, and he used the “right handed” version of the pack.
Im a lefty myself, and have found that it actually seems more practical to hold and aim the thrower with the “right handed” configuration. I did a mockup of a left handed thrower, and it just felt odd to hold it that way.
Actually, the standard setup of the pack almosts seems to favor a lefty anyway. It puts your left hand nearer to the tip of the thrower, which with the force the pack seems to have in the movies, would make it easier to aim.
But in the end, if you want to make a mirrored pack, I say go for it. The only person who has to be happy with it is you.
Same here!
Yes there are left handed packs out there. Slimer7, the person who ran the set of shells out of wood actually had one left handed one which he had gotten an order for specifically. Im a true lefty and would have loved my pack to be left handed but the fact remains that to own a proton pack is cool enough.. i dont want to complain about me being comfortable when im already impersonating a ghostbuster hehe
Left handed packs are cool, would be harder to sell in the end if you ever wanted to part with it for some serious $$, just like my lefty guitar lol
here’s what you do…build a regular ,right handed proton pack, and stand in front of a mirror..BOO YA!
F’ing BRILLIANT!
Actually, if I don’t like it then it should be considered by all as a complete failure and you will hang your head in shame
yeah, you oughta listen to Kind, he knows what he’s talking about.
well thanks guys for all your help…I think
