Ok, I’ve worked hard on the following figures and sets, and had an even harder time with the digital photography. So I present to you my creations! Tell me what ya think! There are three lists, characters, equipment, and scenes from the movies.
amazing work there man…i too have done all of that …except ive had to cut parts and all to make em work i will try to post pics ove them soon…but amazing work once again
Thanks, It took me about two weeks to build it all. The ecto was a pain in the rear to make. I rebuilt it 7 times! I now have about 4 proton packs, different colored suits for each movie, 2 PKEs (I forgot to get pics of them), 2 traps, and 1 slime blower.
well..i have my stuff in a box…i have 4 packs.1 trap.1 slimeblower, an ecto, a firehouse set like thing with the doors, a pke, ecto goggles, and i think i have a containment unit in there somewhere, 2 tan uniforms, 1 grey one, and one brown one…like i said ill have to get them out and repaired some soon…but when i do ill be sure to post pics of em
I mjust wish I still had the two pics of him being pulled in!!! I might try to re-shoot it tonight…
I have 2 GB2 uniforms and 3 GB uniforms ( I decied to go with grey instead of tan). I also have a brown one for RGB Peter. I’m currentally trying to build a Stay puft Marshmallow man minifig and a EGB Proton pack, a Vigo minifig, Louis Tully minifig, Walter Peck, and about 3 more tripod traps to go with the first one.
I decided to change from grey unifroms to tan ( I watched the movie again to check the uniforms), I finished the tripod traps and the tripod trap scene, I completed Vigo, but he has short hair instead of long, the other characters I mentioned I’ve worked on some what, but I need to find a few improtant peices. I’ve been thinking about painting elbow pads and name tags on the the uniforms and paiting this long black hair peice blonde to make Vigo look more like the movie character. I’ll get the pics up as soon as I can.
Yeah, I did it a couple of years ago who was wanting to market Lego Ghostbusters figures. Actually ended up making a large libary of characters… Ghostbusters, Jurassic Park, Spiderm-Man (Specifically created figures, ones not marketed)… heck, even ER
As long as you have an accurately sized template, and an appropriate colour guide* to work with, you can create decals so that lego figures can be heavily customised… people over at Brickshelf have damn near recreated the Avengers and X-Men.
*An accurate colour guide can help with the ‘background’ colour of a decal so it matches the piece perfectly… of course, the parts that are the same colour as the brick could be transparent… but I have no idea how to do transparent decals…
If you look closly at the slimer trapping scene and the He slimed me scene, you can see that Venkman has a name tag. I mostly just wrote their last names on a peice of paper and taped it to the figure. Only Venkman’s stayed on, so eventually I took it off. I only regret that i don’t have a black guy lego head. It would be great to have winston to complete the team!
That pic of he lego ecto a couple weeks back is what made me start building. I need to get some pics of the newest stuff I’ve built. after i complete a couple things such as the painting and make some directions on how to build these models, I am going to work on this ghsot trap (non Lego0 I’ve been putting off.
well i just got mine out a few days ago…i had a full size pke made out of legos but i fell apart…but my ecto is one except for little details and im still tryin to get my camera to take pics that look right before posting them
Sorry to resurrect this topic, but I’m making a website featuring pics of all the models, and building instructions. I haven’t done since I’ve been on the PC since 4:00pm resizing those !@#$ pictures. Forsome reason the digital cameraw uploads the pics in “super-outrageously-huge form.”
I have redone the slime blower to make it more accurate and the trap pedal. There are also new uniforms. More updates will be added soon.
