Lifeguard 2 and Mt-500

I just picked up a lifeguard 2 pass alarm and (for some reason) 12 mt-500 around a hundred bucks. The lifeguard 2 is in working condition and the radios are for parts, my really question is, is that a good deal or did I just waste my money?

this might have been a good question to ask BEFORE you bought them.

Lifegard IIs will run you anywhere from $10-$60 depending on your luck, condition and whoever else needs one at the time

complete decent condition correct mt-500s will run about $10-$15 ea. with a holster a little more.

is it a waste of money? shrug do you need 12 mt-500s for parts?

word of wisdom: this can become a very expensive hobby very quickly so do your research first.

I’d say that it was a fine purchase. I can’t say much about Lifegards (I’m strictly GB 1), but I’ve noticed that the radio market seems a bit dry lately. What radios have shown up seem to carry a heavy price tag.

I know some people have gutted the radios to lighten them up. You could do the same, gut one, and sell the rest individually to recoup some of the money if you feel the deal wasn’t as sweet as you originally thought.

Even if you sold the radios for $10 a pop, you’d easily make back more than you spent, and you would have the lifeguard and your own radio virtually free.

I was actually thinking about trying to sell off the remaining radios

U wanna sell any let me know

Lifeguards are hard to come by. Radios, a bit easier. Selling them to pay for everything else may work out for you. Good luck.

Those radios should be an easy sell. You will find enough people who need them for sure. Did they come with batteries or any charging stations?

Yeah, the radios are gonna be easy to sell.. If we did not have radios for all of our group, I’d get some from you in an instant..

if you’re looking to sell a radio I’m putting my hand up
