I thought I’d post an update of what ive completed so far on my uniform. I still have alot to go but as you can see I think I am making good progress. I know that I do not have the money or time (and let’s be honest patience) to do a super authentic set but I hope to have fun and make a decent looking one
This is my jumpsuit. I still need to get a leg hose.
These are my goggles i just started today. I need to add a 2nd coat and clear coat. To be honest i might have botched them alittle and may need to rebuy the goggle but im happy with the lense pieces. I just got to get them together.
My gloves, belt and PKE holder. I have a Matty PKE and also a Matty Trap but you all know what they look like. I dont have any pictures of the trap holster yet because my brother is helping me sew a holster together and he currently has it at his house. I still need to get some belt fobs and Im tracking down a radio, life gard and gizmo parts
this is as far as I have got and have not yet started my proton pack yet because its such a big job but Im very happy of my progress so far
FYI, i’m “borrowing” this design for the holster. Its easy and I think it works well for a matty trap

looks good so far, goggles are already better than mine :P. Borrow away on the trap holster, heck steal if you have to, gotta keep that trap safe right 
Haha thanks! And again great trap holster. The goggles were pretty cheap really. I got pretty much everything at home depot except the goggles. Everything else came to about 15 bucks and that was mostly the paint.

Thanks!! yeah, to be honest, I dont really see much difference except knowing in my head its not a jumpsuit, but im happy with it. I also just got the leg hose they restocked so I’ll have that on as soon as I get it, also still waiting for those preorder elbow pads.
I ended up finding the exact radio needed in my basement of all places and im trying to track down a Lifegard that is free or cheap
Just an update for anyone that cares, and also because it will be nice to have a record of my first builds/uniform for in the future
Got my leg hose/connector in and a belt fob, going to think of a good way to attach them. I ended up scraping the above goggle pic due to paint issues, im already half way done with the 2nd attempt and everything is going much better. i just need to figure out what to use for a clear coat, I got the lense piece glued together and they look better than above as well.
I was also able to score a pass alarm from a local firehall, they were going to give it to me for free but i gave a donation for it. I also found a good radio and flashlight. I’ll get some pics up when i get things together more
What was wrong with the goggles?
Well, the paint had that tacky issue, I let it set a couple days. Well as I was taking them over to my friends to help, I set them on a piece of paper to protect my car seat. Wind blew the paper up on the side and got paper stuck on them. SO we decided to just paint the whole thing over with a new coat. (also there were some lumpy spots) When he picked them up after painting again, he touched them too early and peeled a chuck of paint up to the primer. Alos we were doing this outside at night and were walking around and surveying his land for a unrelated project…that’s when he acidentally kicked them when not looking at the ground. He then proceeded to use paint removal and a tooth brush to try to get the paint off to start from scratch. The new coats have a really lumpy finish and air bubbles came up through.
SO, that’s why I decided to start from scratch. I used a different method than before as listed on a seperate thread and They are PERFECT so far. I just need to do one more coat and find a proper clear coat. I have a can of laquer but im unsure if this laquer is going to be too much. I may go find that clear krylon you were talking about.
On a side note, the new goggles I bought actually look better in structure than the old ones so im kind of glad I started over, also he is going to make his own suit/gear too and I’ll just let him keep the old one to use.
Just an update, I have pretty much my uniforrm together. Im going to reorder a larger no ghost patch after halloween because after having everything together, its alittle small. I got my hose/connector sewed on. My Brother used some kind of heavy wax thread. I need to get a end piece for the tube so I can put some wire through it to attach to my belt. My 2nd attempt goggles are done and look great! They’re basic and ill need to add some knobs and such but im happy for now. I think im going to go back and build my own trap at some point. ive decided to wait til after Chrimbus and build my pack. When I stop being lazy and have time Ill post pics. I have received a new position at work so im devoting all my time to that now
