Making that Bumper on the back of the pack

Hi, I pretty much figured out what to use for most of the proton pack, for the life of me, I can’t figure out how to make the Bumper for the pack.

I read somewhere about using Weather Stripping? But it sounds like you need to take a straight piece of metal, and bend it to the appropriate “look”?

I mean, I am not sure you can find something that looks like a bumper by itself without having to “form” it, correct?

Thanks

I built mine out of wood and styrene, with alot of sanding, carving, and puttying and although it’s decent, it isn’t 100% accurate. It’s a tough piece to build but there are plans etc available.

This might help…

Very, very good

Thank you :walterpeck:

KC is making a bunch up to sell again for halloween, you might want to send him a message.. it looked like he already almost has 4 or 5 done.

Oh okay…but I am wondering if it will fit my “custom” pack…it’s not quite the “movie Accurate” proportions the way I’m making it.

I guess that depends.

Or just create a mount for a proper bumper, so you can reuse it later for a more accurate pack.
